I also had to have a complete unfil in June (when I got my gold 100 lb lost pin)  and am just restarting with my fills. I put this off because I was too busy with life and now...49 pounds gauined back, I am restarting this journey again and ready to get my head back on. Will I do this overnight...nope. Took me a long time to get the wieght off the first time and now I am on the path to do it again.  I have been on this journey 3 years and know what I need to do to get it off...just have to make myself do it and it is hard...BUT I AM DOING IT!!!! =)
Taper down on the liquids instead of going cold turkey....it will make it easier to completely stop eventually. You can do this! We can do this!

I just got completely refilled. I got sick and got emptied of 10ccs back at the end of Sept...which made it really hard...I am starting over today as well. Doc put in 9ccs today so I am almost back to where I was when it finally worked for me in Sept. I will not be defeated by myself. I did this for a reason.

Yes Latasha, I did go to Mexico. I had a VSG, and it doesn't require as much after care as a RNY. I am a veteran, so I can get my blood test done at the VA clinic. My Mexican doc asked for me to get an upper GI at about 3 or 4 months, and my local doc said he would do it, but after a few months, he said if I needed an upper Gi, I would be showing signs of problems, so all he does is keep track of my blood test to see if I am getting my vitamins.
Its good to hear from a local "fellow weight loss person" and I am a member of the Evansville group here on OH, and I try to go to the weight loss support group in Evansville. They meet once a month and you don't have to have your surgery in Evansville to attend this group.

They have all the protein supplies you could want. And they all taste really good. Also, they are specifically for bariatric patients. So, they have low calories, no carbs, no sugar, etc.  Also, they have protein chips and soups that you can choose from too. I would definitely check it out!
